Comedienne Pokwang sets all bad blood with former partner, Lee O'Brian, aside to put their daughter Malia O'Brian first.
At the press conference for the upcoming movie Becky and Badette, an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023 by Jun Robles Lana, Pokwang revealed her decision to allow Lee to spend time with Malia, marking a shift in their post-breakup relationship.
Despite ongoing personal conflicts with Lee, Pokwang emphasized her commitment as a mother to prioritize Malia's well-being, especially during the season of giving.
She acknowledged that Lee has started visiting and spending time with their daughter, expressing her willingness to accommodate his desire to be part of Malia's life.
The 53-year-old actress revealed, "Nakakadalaw naman siya, napapasyal niya yung bata.
"Ako, naghihintay lang ako kung kailan niya ulit gusto. Kasi importante sa akin yung happiness ng anak ko.
"Christmas is for children," she emphasized.
In addition, she highlighted her contentment with this arrangement, stating with conviction, "Okay na ako."

When asked about the circumstances leading to her approval for Lee to see Malia, Pokwang explained, "Bigla na lang siyang [Lee] nag-message kasi.
"Sabi niya, 'Puwede ko bang isama si Malia, manonood kami ng Aladdin...' kasi last year nanood kami, ganyan ganyan, ano lang Disney princess...
"So, o sige kako, dinrop off ko yung bata sa lugar kung saan siya nakatira."
Regarding the possibility of an ongoing ceasefire in their relationship, Pokwang expressed her hope, saying, "Sana."
As for the potential of rekindling a friendship with her ex-partner, she acknowledged the gradual nature of the process, stating, "May proseso tayo diyan, unti-unti."
Her decision reflects a willingness to finally explore the concept of co-parenting.
