Nakakasama ni Kris Lawrence ang anak nila ni Katrina Halili na si Katie tuwing nasa Maynila ito.
Sa hometown ni Katrina sa Palawan nakatira at nag-aaral si Katie, kaya noong nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang singer sa opisina ng ALV Talent Management Office sa Ortigas, Pasig City, last February 7, 2024, ang naging tanong ay ang bonding nilang mag-ama tuwing nagkakasama sila.

Kakaiba ang sagot ni Kris.
Aniya, “I try to challenge her brain because she has…she hasn’t been diagnosed, but I feel like she is what I call…what is called a Savant.
“You know what is a Savant is?”
Ayon sa Wikipedia, ang Savant Syndrome “is a phenomenon where someone demonstrates exceptional aptitude in one domain."
Dagdag pa ni Kris, “So I feel like she is a Savant, because you can just ask her, ‘Katie what is November 4?' She’ll just, in two seconds, she’ll say, ‘Sunday.’ Then I’ll look at my calendar, and it’s Sunday!
“Then she’ll say, ‘Papa test me until 2028!’
“I was like, ‘Are you sure?’ I was like, ‘Okay, when is January 4?’ ‘Tuesday’ Then I’ll look at my calendar, it’s Tuesday!
“I’ll say, ‘What?! Can you teach me how to do that?’”
Maging si Kris ay namamangha sa anak, aniya pa, “I have no idea how she does it, she must have a…
“Yeah, it takes you longer to search for it, mas matagal pang i-search mo kesa sa kanya.”
KATIE'S MILD AUTISM
Gaya ng nabanggit ni Katrina sa naging interview niya kay Boy Abunda noong July 25, 2023, may mild autism spectrum disorder (ASD) ang 11-year-old daughter niya.

Halos ganoon din ang sinabi ni Kris: "She has a slight ASD, it’s not too much.”
Ano pa ang napapansin niya sa anak nila?
“She associates you with your birthdate. It correlates very special to me and Katrina because me and Katrina are very astrology-based, I guess.
“We both love astrology, we both studied astrology, so it’s interesting to know that Katie is [interested as well]."
At kapag may bagong kakilala ang anak, madali raw nitong matatandaan ang birthdays.
Pagpapatuloy ni Kris, "If she’s to meet you, the first thing she’s gonna ask is your birthdate.
"And when you see her next month, six months, or next year, when she sees you again, she’ll look at you for like three seconds, and she’ll say, ‘You’re name is Rommel and you’re birthday is blah, blah, blah.’
“It’s amazing actually.”
