Parenthood has always been described a life-changing experience, but it doesn't ring true until you actually become one.
It's been three years since Rica Peralejo gave birth to her son Philip, but she has remained overwhelmed by both the beauty and complexity of motherhood.
And no matter how tired she is sometimes, she has this certain glow.
During her photo shoot for an endorsement, Rica mused on the strange-but-wondrous euphoria of motherhood.
"Parang, it can be as simple as, parang, ang saya pala kahit maliligo lang kayo sa banyo. Wala kayong pupuntahan, nasa banyo lang kayong dalawa 'tapos bakit ang saya-saya nito? So parang, I find joy in the simplest things. It has become so easy for me to be joyful."
Woke up happy from his long nap. He slept through Topkapi and woke up hungry. Ate at a Turkish cafe after. With the Turkish Delights and baklavas etc -- how do the Turks practice no sugar and no carb diet gusto ko sana magdala ng pasalubong pero sana not in the form of inches and pounds... Huhuhu... #Istanbul #Topkapi #MamaWanders #booksbabiesboardingpasses
Rica continued, "I mean, I think obvious naman yun. Talagang umiiba yung mga tao kapag nagiging nanay, pero ako siguro, I’ve never known this kind of joy in my life.
"I’ve been happy, I’ve been cheerful, I’ve been satisfied.
"But this one is joy talaga. If I found love with my husband, joy was what I found with being a mother."
