Two days since Scarlet Belo was introduced by her parents, Dra. Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho Jr., her own Instagram account @scarletsnowbelo has amassed 16,200 followers.
It only has six posts, and this photo with her Ninang Jodi Sta. Maria is just so comely.
Meanwhile, the Netizens have not ceased from asking how Dra. Vicki, 63, and Hayden, 35, could have pulled such a surprise, albeit one that is pleasant and cuddly, on everyone.
It had been revealed that she was born through a Mexican-American surrogate mother.
Even if Hayden hadn't met the surrogate, conception was made possible through in vitro fertilization (IVF).
This particular procedure was explained in Philippine Star columnist Ricky Lo's article: "You choose your 'partner' from a roster of prospects who are listed complete with their backgrounds, qualifications, traits, and whatnots."
Here's how MayoClinic described series of procedure:
"The mature eggs are collected from ovaries, and fertilized by sperm in a lab. Then the fertilized egg [embryo] or eggs are implanted in the uterus."
Obvious fact is that Hayden is the biological father of Scarlet Snow.
Where does that leave Vicki?
Scarlet is her "100 percent" daughter.
Echoing the sentiments of the beauty doctor's adoptive parents, Ike and Nena Belo, she said, "[She] may not have came from my tummy but straight from my heart.
"I feel that she was God's gift to me. The moment I saw her I loved her."
Scarlet Snow is Vicki's third child.
JOY OF PARENTHOOD In a separate interview with Philippine Daily Inquirer, Vicki and Hayden spoke enthusiastically about the wave of happiness their daughter has brought into their life as a couple.
For one, it brought deeper meaning into their 11-year relationship.
Vicki said, "We talk about life more and more, and we're on the same page because of Scarlet."
She added that this was the best time to rediscover motherhood, "For me, this is a wonderful time to have a child. I have the time and the money.
"And Hayden has been the best dad ever."
For the hands-on dad, Scarlet Snow is his literal and figurative reminder of God's love.
Hayden then cited the biblical verse Isaiah 118: "Though your sins be red as scarlet, I shall make them white as snow."
He elaborated, "Regardless of how far you've been from God, God can draw you back in, make your sin as white as snow."
