Kelly Misa’s life is never the same since she became a mother.
Some new moms seem to have taken things in stride, stating, “Life is back to normal,” a few months after giving birth.
While the model/beauty columnist finds motherhood so rewarding, she is upfront about its intricacy.
At a recent Baby and Company event, she briefly muses about the changes in her life since Baby Tristan Antonio was born on July 2, 2015.
Much as she would want to say she and her husband Carlos have already adjusted to their role as parents, she says, “Noooooo,” almost shrieking.
She adds, “No. Not all. My gosh. I don’t think we can ever go back to normal.
“But that’s okay. He has brought such fulfillment to our lives.
“Actually, nakalimutan ko na nga how it was without him because he had changed my life completely.”
PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked her most daunting thought about being a parent.
Kelly says, “I think it’s the transition--from thinking of just yourself, from being married--kasi it was just you and and your husband. Yun ang iisipin mo.
“And then, you have this person you’re so responsible for, his life depends on you.
“It’s such a big transition, to be honest, kasi talagang he’s so dependent on you for food, for nourishment, for comfort, for sleeping, talagang it’s a huge responsibility.
“That’s the big change for me: having that other person to think about.”
The couple have been very hands-on.
“We have a stay-out yaya, we just call her when we need her, pag ganito pag meron lakad or events or work, then we call her.”
Do they manage to squeeze in time for date nights?
Smiling, Kelly replies, “Dating alone or our time starts when he sleeps.
“Pinapatulog na namin nang maaga, mga 8 p.m., ganyan, that’s when our life begins.”
