It is important they get the approval of the kids, too.
In the case of Paolo Contis and LJ Reyes, they seem to have worked things out well.
The former child star has two kids with Lian Paz, while the Starstruck alumna has a son with Paulo Avelino.
On Instagram, Paolo recently commended his girlfriend, and gave her "the best tita award."
He also wrote, "Thank you so much love...for everything..."
Along with the short message was a video showing LJ playing with his two daughters.
Likewise, Paolo also posted a touching message for LJ's son Aki.
"I'm always here to hold you and I always have your back..."
Then being his usual comic self, he added these hashtags, "#BakitAngItimNgSikoKo #KailanganMagScrub #ChickenLegs"
Based on Paolo's posts, it's obvious he and Aki get along with each other well.
