Dra. Vicki Belo reveals struggles as 60-year-old mom to Baby Scarlet Snow

Vicki Belo's third child, Scarlet Snow Belo, was born on March 5, 2015.


The life of Dra. Vicki Belo and partner Hayden Kho has never been the same since Baby Scarlet Snow came into their lives.

In the December issue of Good Housekeeping Philippines, the beauty doctor said the plan to have a baby was discussed many years ago.

"We have been together for quite some time already, and we could see that we are going to stay together for the long term, so we decided that it was time to have our baby."

The couple formally introduced their cute bundle of joy to the public in the middle of May 2016.

Since then, many have been instantly charmed by Scarlet Snow.

In fact, she is presently Instagram's most followed baby with 752,619 followers at press time.

Did you know her name Scarlet Snow was borrowed from a Biblical passage?

It came from Isaiah 1:18, which reads: "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."

According to Dra. Vicki, her partner chose the name to remind him of his redemption.

It can be recalled that in 2009, Hayden got embroiled in video scandals.

Vicki was 59 years old when Scarlet was born.

She was in her mid-20s when she had Quark and Cristalle, her chlidren with businessman Atom Henares.

So when asked about the struggles that came after this life-changing blessing, physical endurance was on top of her list.

The celebrity mom admits she has less energy to keep up with the demands and activities of her one-year-old daughter.

She told GH, "As a mother then, I was so much younger, I had so much energy, so I could play with them endlessly."

But now, "I still do that with Scarlet but it's all achy bones and stuff."

Though Scarlet has her dad, Ate Cristalle, Kuya Quark, and the Belo household staff, the celebrity mom chooses remain a hands-on mom.

She does not want her baby girl to be deprived of "having a mother who she can play with and be silly with."

She added, "I want Scarlet to see me as someone she can always run to.

"I want to be her forever kakampi."
