Gary Valenciano is in love.
His eyes lights up each time he talks about his first apo, Nataleia Martine Valenciano, the daughter of his eldest Paolo and his wife Samantha Godinez.
He also recounts the first time he saw her.
“Meron akong naranasan, merong akong na-feel na dun ko lang na-feel na dapat kong naranasan at na-feel when Paolo was born,” he tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during his thanksgiving event for the success of Gary V Presents series of concerts.
He elaborates, “In my case kasi, iba kasi yung sitwasyon ko.
"I was nineteen years old, Paolo was thirty one.
"But when he presented, nung lumabas siya with Leia from the delivery room and he presented to me, I was looking at my firstborn and I was looking at my first grandchild, parang gusto kong sabihin kay Paolo, 'Pao, I was seeing things for the very first time.'
“At that time, iba ang nasa isip ko.
"Parang gusto ko lang ipakita sa mga tao, 'O, meron ba kayong ganito?'
"Kasi ang daming kumokontra sa akin.
"Pero this time, it was...as a grandfather seeing my firstborn with his firstborn, there’s a difference.”

“Matagal pa yun. Mga ilang taon pa yun, dalawang dekada pa yun,” he said in jest.
Hasn't he entertained the idea considering Kiana is already 24?
"All I say is that, if and when Kiana presents me with her baby, I know it’s going to be beautiful also.
"And Kiana always wanted to be a big sister, so how much more to be a mom.”
Kiana is currently dating Sam Concepcion.
Gary said about his daughter's relationship with the performer/actor: "She’s in good hands."
He adds that he's know Sam since he was a kid.
