Isabel Oli says her daughter Baby Feather is just like her dad John Prats: "Sobra siyang daddy niya, very active and very smart. 'Tapos may mga kapilyahan siya na which is so John."

Actress Isabel Oli still fondly remembers the first word her unica hija Baby Lily Feather uttered.

"Yung first word niya is 'Mama,'" the first-time mom told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview during Cetaphil's 70th anniversary party at Shangri-la Hotel in Makati City last May 17, Wednesday.

However, the former Kapuso star further said that her daughter had a slight change of heart and is now a certified daddy's girl.

Isabel recalled with a hearty laugh, "Ngayon naman 'Papa' na siya nang 'Papa.'

"Nawala na nga yung 'Mama,' e. 'Papa' na [binabanggit niya]."

Isabel sees no problem with this.

In fact, she also enjoys watching her husband John Prats bond with their daughter.

She narrated, "Minsan ginigising niya si John early in the morning, tapos [kakantahan niya] ng 'Papa!'

"Ay naku, gigising agad si John kahit two hours lang yung tulog."

After scrolling through John's Instagram account, PEP found a post where he expressed how her daughter relieves him of his stress.

He wrote, "Kahit anong pagod ko, nawawala pag napapanood ko ito :) I love you po."

Isabel added that Baby Feather has acquired a few mannerisms from her dad.

She narrated, "Sobra siyang daddy niya, very active and very smart.

"'Tapos, may mga kapilyahan siya na which is so John.

"Natatawa ako kasi sobrang nakukuha niya talaga, 'tapos like yung ano naman 'pag [masandal] sa car, tulog agad.

"Sa daddy niya nakuha yun kasi ako gising lang ako, si [John tulog agad]. Mga ganyang bagay, nakakatuwa."

For her part, Isabel finds it funny that her daughter now sleeps the way she does.

"Yung nakuha niya lang sa akin yung 'pag antok, tumatawa," she recounted.

"Yung parang happy 'pag antok. Parang groging-groggy lang. Yun lang nakuha niya sa akin."

FULL-TIME MOM. Isabel is definitely enjoying her time as a full-time mom, but admits that she still has a lot to learn when it comes to motherhood.

"Ang dami kong mali, ang dami kong shortcomings kay Feather, sobra," Isabel acknowledged.

"And my patience parang pakonti nang pakonti siya. She's so ano e, active."

She added, "Kahit one year and one month na si Feather, I'm still adjusting to a lot of things as a mom."

Isabel admitted that she gradually learned about the dos and don'ts of parenting.

"Mali pala... I used to do that to Feather na bibigyan ko lang ng baby bottle, tulog na.

"So don't daw.

"'Tapos, dapat i-divert mo sa isang bagay yung focus niya and hindi dun sa bottle.

"Kasi when you give her a bottle, meaning niyan she has to drink, or meal niya yun [and] hindi for playing.

"E, di ba, nakasanayan natin, 'Umiyak si ano bigyan ng ganyan...' Mga ganun lang naman."

At the moment, Isabel has put her showbiz career on hold and devoted all her time playing hands-on mom to Baby Feather.

"Siyempre yung time ko talaga ngayon is dedicated for her [Baby Feather] lang," Isabel noted.

"Tumbling talaga pag nandiyan si John, so si John and then her.

"Ano talaga, adjustment in a lot of ways like less of me, mas more siya muna."

Like most moms, juggling her time for herself and for her family is her biggest struggle.

"To be honest, mahirap... like yung workout ko nga, wala talaga siyang specific schedule.

"'Pag tulog siya [Baby Feather], then workout, parang ganun. Mahirap siyang i-balance.

Nevertheless, Isabel is thankful every time her husband takes charge so that she can have her well-deserved "me time."

"I'm just really blessed that my husband is very understanding at saka sobrang supportive," she expressed.

"'Pag siya naman may free time, ina-allow niya ako mag 'me time,' magpa-facial ganyan or go to the salon.

"Parang blessed lang talaga to have him and parang every week nagkakaroon ako ng parang day off ganun."

When asked if she plans to make a showbiz comeback soon, Isabel said, "Sometimes I miss my showbiz life.

"Pero iba ngayon, e.

"My daughter needs me so siya muna ngayon. Pero nag-a-accept naman ako ng mga guestings."
