Vilma Santos is unsure whether her son Ryan Christian Recto will be resuming his showbiz career or not.

Now 21 years old, the only son of the actress and Senator Ralph Recto is on his way to finishing his Business Management course at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Ryan Christian briefly joined Goin' Bulilit in 2005.

But politics may be his cup of tea.

A lot of people have been saying that he will most likely follow in the footsteps of his dad.

The Star for All Seasons told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Hmmm, maybe.

"When it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

"Priceless, priceless talaga yun."

Vilma is aware that Ryan also looks up to his half-brother Luis Manzano, her son with Edu Manzano.

The sixth-district representative of Batangas elaborated,  "A, sa showbiz.

"He enjoys it."

Aside from being an eloquent speaker, Ryan is also a good drummer.

But Vilma wants him to finish his studies first.

"And I'm proud of them."

As a mom, one thing she has been teaching her sons is to be grateful about what they have.

"Ako, imagine, nineteen years na ako as public servant. Si Ralph, twenty-three years na.

For Ralph's part, he involves Christian in his sport activities.

"Ginugusto niya na laging kasama sina Christian na they play golf, they play basketball, nagba-bike.

"Basta outside sports at hindi puro computer.

"For that, I really commend my husband."

And just like Vilma, he encourages Christian to be his own person.

"Ah, yes. Si Ralph is a very liberated dad."
