Turning 17 on August 21, Kate Valdez says her life as a teenager is pretty much the same.
Citing her parents' constant bilin, she told members of the press, "Ang ayaw lang po ni Mama is yung lalabas."
Those few night she had to hang out with friends, her parents' one condition was: her mom tags along.
Kate said, "Kung lalabas, kasama siya.
"'Ah okay, it’s not good,' yun ang turo sa 'kin ni Mama."
The Kapuso actress added that she doesn't mind bringing her mom to barkada gimmicks.
Other valuable lessons her parents have been teaching her:
2. "Just be patient."
3. "Maging approachable ka."
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), along with other members of the press, joined Kate during her pampering day for fans at Rich Asuncion's Nail Cocktales in Bonifacio Global City last August 18, 2017, three days before her actual birthday.
Joining the get-together was Kate's father, Edmond Sisante.
Is Kate allowed to be in a relationship?
Smiling, the chinita beauty simply said, "Hindi pa po."
She's not even allowed to entertain suitors yet, but she doesn't snub those who sends her a message via text or social media.
"It’s not a malicious thing, ayoko naman bigyan, gusto ko lang kausapin."
Her birthday celebration with fans was hosted by TOP's Joshua Jacobe.
