Cristine Reyes's life took a 180-degree turn after she gave birth to Amarah back in February 2015.
The first few months had been difficult because her daughter was a preterm baby and had problems with her breathing and feeding.
But that episode had brought the actress and her husband Ali Khatibi closer, and made them appreciate the little girl's presence in their life.
Two years later, Cristine seems to have settled right into her role as a mom.
During the launch of Simply Shoes—the first brand they endorsed as a family—last September 5, the actress described motherhood.
"It's a very fulfilling job...
"I didn't realize it's going to be this important to me.
"I'm happy where I am right now."
HANDS-ON PARENTS. Cristine proudly said that she and her husband are both hands-on parents to Amarah.
"...with every thing, hindi lang ako. Although minsan, when I have work, si Ali, [nag-aalaga]. When Ali has work, ako naman."
They also take turns reading a bedtime story to Amarah before going to sleep.
"We pray bago matulog…We eat together!"
Ali added that the family loves watching television and movies, too.
And it's usually Amarah who chooses the channel and show.
The mixed martial artist continued, "Nako, all her TV shows, her cartoons, paulit-ulit. We'll watch it like a million times!
"It's fun though!"
TOP PRIORITY. Those times both of them are busy, the couple make it a point to allot quality time for their daughter.
Ali said, "It's always important you prioritize family.
"Throughout the week, we make sure we bond and spend time together. That's something we make sure of.
"Sila, priority ko talaga, e… sila talaga muna."
For Cristine's part, her time outside the set belongs to her family.
At present, she is busy shooting Seven Sundays with Dingdong Dantes.
"My schedule right now is every day. So when I don't have work, like pack up yung shoot, talagang nag-i-spend time ako with family, with Ali and Amarah.
"Kasi nando'n yung longing palagi na gusto mo sila kasama."
