Edu Manzano doesn't pressure his son Luis Manzano to get married and have his own family.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during his taping for Celebrity Bluff in GMA Annex Studio on October 11, 2017, the actor-host says that marriage does not seem to be the priority of bachelors these days.
"They are more career-oriented at business-minded. Gusto nilang lahat magpayaman.
"Maganda naman iyon kasi hindi sila yung palaasa sa mga parents nila because they have their own career and business.
And though he believes Luis's age is ripe for marriage, Edu lets his eldest make that decision for himself.
“Luis is 36 years old now. I was 26 years old when he was born.
"As long as I see them doing good sa kanilang trabaho, full support ako."
But of course, the 62-year-old star is excited about the idea of becoming a grandfather.
In fact, he wants that to be the main message of this interview.
"Kaso parang ayaw pa, e," he says, laughing.
Does he ask Luis about Jessy Mendiola, the latter's girlfriend?
"I respect my children’s privacy. Unless magkuwento si Luis about his plans with Jessy, then makikinig ako.
"If he needs advice on anything, magbibigay ako ng advice.
Smiling, he quips, "Since wala pa silang plano ni Jessy na mag-settle down, Jessy is allowed to just call me 'kuya.'"
