GMA-7 actress Kylie Padilla has officially made her son, Baby Alas Joaquin, his very own Instagram page.
The first-time mom revealed early today, December 19, that she made the Instagram account with the handle name @officialalasjoaquin.
In her post, Kylie revealed her reservations about exposing her son to social media.
But she eventually decided to make a virtual baby diary of sorts for her little one.
She wrote, "I was sort of reluctant to make Alas his own IG page, but I have given in only to make sure Aj and I control whatever pictures of him come out, and so we can share some little stories and milestones we have reached.
"I enjoy sharing them, too. His official IG is | officialalasjoaquin. See you there."
At press time, Baby Alas Joaquin's Instagram account has 12 posts, most of which are anecdotes about his milestones in just four months.
Kylie observed that her son enjoys their story-telling time.
"Alas loves reading. He will often ask me to read one more book after we've finished one.
"He likes to pretend that he is reading along too and gets so excited he squeals.
"I recommend reading to your little ones because knowledge is power, it's always smart to start as early as you can. Xoxo mom"
Kylie also shared some mommy tips, one of which tackled breastfeeding.
The actress wrote, "Alas is exclusively breastfed, though it was not without our own set of struggles.
"I'm thankful to have been given a baby with a great suck and a big appetite.
"I know the struggle so many moms have when they have not been able to breastfeed. Both of us are very thankful."
Kylie also advised, "Do not feel the pressure of having to breastfeed. First and foremost mom has to be healthy to be able to take care of a newborn/baby.
"What suits your lifestyle is best. You can do it mommy. Xoxo mom."
She also gave a peek into the 'closeness' of Alas and his dad Aljur Abrenica.
The Encantadia actress wrote, "It is no secret how much these two are in love with each other.
"Alas connected to his dad right away and always smiles when he sees him.
"He even attempts to wake his dad up in the morning.
"When he has fussy days, his dad has this magic touch and he calms down right away. It's so precious to see.
"Probably because when Alas was inside my stomach, his dad's voice was very apparent and present. Nothing like seeing them together."
