Kisses Delavin on parents accompanying her to showbiz commitments: "...life is so short. I love na na-i-spend ko yung every moment ko with my parents."

Turning 19 this May 1, Kisses Delavin is proud to say that she always turns to her parents for advice.

In fact, she considers them her “life coaches.”

Referring to her Daddy Gilbert and Mommy Carrie, she says, “I love talking to them.

“They’re very mature people and napakadami nilang ideas.

“Parang when I bring up a question or may i-discuss ako sa kanilang plano ko na gusto kong gawin, and then ang dami nilang input, I’m like, ‘Wow, I love this team!’

“Para kaming creative, alam mo yung kapag nagmi-meeting ang isang team, nagbe-brainstorm, ‘Anong gagawin natin dito? Ayan, ‘yan.’”

Despite her tight schedule, she makes it a point to spend quality time with them.

“Ganoon kami palagi and then every night, kahit anong late kong umuwi, nag-uusap kami about every thing that happened,” she says.

She also doesn’t mind bringing her parents to all her showbiz commitments.

“Actually, masaya ako na sumasama sila kasi you don’t get another set of parents in your life.

“So habang andiyan sila, I’m so happy that I get to spend time with them, kasi halimbawa nagbi-business na sila ngayon, I’d be sad kasi separate kami.

“And life is so short. I love na na-i-spend ko yung every moment ko with my parents,” the proud daughter remarks.

Kisses was among the Kapamilya artists who took part in Piolo Pascual’s Sunpiology Run yesterday, January 20, 2018, at the Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Her Daddy Gilbert throws in, “Marami siyang natutunan, saka nag-mature siya.”

Asked if her parents have become strict now that she’s in showbiz, Kisses tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “Pareho lang, kasi kung paano sila nung high school ako, gano'n pa rin naman sila ngayon.

“Except na siyempre parang marami na kasing… yung boys siyempre… yung mga gano'n, siyempre naa-ano [nagwu-worry] din yung parents ko na, ‘Hala, bakit gano'n?’

“So ako, ina-assure ko sila na, ‘Hindi, it’s just friendship.’”

Although she’s not yet allowed to entertain suitors, Kisses doesn’t snub those who admire her either.

She explains, “I don’t wanna offend anybody, I’m just… yun lang, friendly lang ako pero hindi naman sa point na mag-aano na.

“No, not yet. I’m not ready for it.”

Kisses assures her parents, “'Ano ba… trust me,' ganon lang ako.”

The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate sang Taylor Swift’s "Love Story" and her vown rendition of "Di Ko Lang Masabi" and "Pretty Boy."
