Kylie Padilla on Baby Alas's sixth month: "I am happy and confident to say that the mood swings and post-partum depression have died down and I am enjoying this phase so much."

Kylie Padilla admitted that she went through postpartum depression after giving birth to Baby Alas, her first-born with partner Aljur Abrenica, last August 2017.

In her Instagram post yesterday, February 3, Kylie shared how she got emotional after seeing a copy of Marcus Pfister's children's book, The Rainbow Fish.

She wrote, "Almost cried at the store when I saw this.

"This was my favorite story book in grade one.

"And only now that I am sharing it with Alas do I understand the meaning of the story... Share.

"No matter how beautiful you are, it does not guarantee happiness.

"Story time has become so much more emotionally binding. Especially if you like the books you read to your little one."

The 25-year-old actress then happily pointed out that six months after giving birth, she had already overcome her postpartum depression.

"Everything in motherhood just gets better.

"At 6 months post-partum I am happy and confident to say that the mood swings and post-partum depression have died down and I am enjoying this phase so much.

"Not that I didn’t enjoy the past months, I’m just so happy to acknowledge the fact that I am in a stable place.

"He is happy and healthy and always laughing. Which is all you could ever want really. Wala lng felt like making daldal. Peace. Xoxo."
