Everyone knows that Ina Raymundo is a celebrity mother of five.
She and her husband, Brian Poturnak, have four daughters: Erika, 15, Miki, 9, Anika, 7, and Minka, 4.
They also have a son, Jacob, 13.
If having five kids overwhelms you, well, Ina feels the same.
“Seriously, kung hindi ako nagwo-work out, I’d be crazy!” the 42-year-old star told the press at the Century Tuna Superbods Ageless launch on February 7, in EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.
“It’s very, very tough to discipline five kids, and I have two teenagers.”
Ina’s eldest daughter Erika can be quite “a handful” at times.
In a short exclusive chat with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) after the launch, Ina shared her observation about “typical” teenage behavior.
“I just don’t like it when [they] talk back, you know.
“It’s so normal now. They’re so sassy, ganun. For them, they’re just joking.”
How does Ina deal with it?
“Kailangan mo lang talagang intindihin na millennials [feel like] friends lang kayo, barkada.
“Of course, I tell them, ‘I’m your mom, I’m your mom.’ But they don’t really grasp it.
“Siguro they feel na parang, alam mo yun, same age lang kami.
“Siguro kasi I’m kind of childish din around them, so sometimes, siguro fault ko rin.
“Nami-misunderstand nila ako because sometimes I act very childish!”
But even if Ina and her teenage daughter sometimes find themselves at odds, they “always end up well.”
“Halimbawa, argue kami ng daughter ko, 'tapos one minute—literally after one minute—parang walang nangyari!
“Typical teenager, right? I know mawawala rin iyan. It will pass.”
In case you're wondering why Ina's Instagram feed does not have a single photo of Erika, she had earlier told PEP.ph, "That's her choice and request."
