Iya Villania says being a mom to a toddler is both fun and challenging.

Guess what's the Kapuso star's biggest challenge so far? Training her one-year-old son Primo to brush his teeth.

She quips, “Medyo giyera.

“Actually, minsan gusto niya mag-toothbrush, pero gusto niya, siya.

“I’m sure gusto lang niyang sipsipin yung toothbrush.”

But kidding aside, it's one of those few moments she gets to assert her being a parent.

“Whether I like or not, I know I’m doing it for his good.

“So even if it’s hard, even if medyo pilit, kahit hindi niya naiintindihan, I really have to force it because I mean para sa kanya din naman yun, e.

“And I’m hoping that eventually he will thank me for it.

“’Thank you mom, buti na lang pinilit mo akong  i-toothbrush mo.’”

The toddler stage, which is part of the formative years, is when the kids “learn and grow in so many ways.”

Thus, this is the perfect time to train them and create their habits.

Iya and Drew Arellano’s son often stuns his parents with his antics.

The actress says, “I love experimenting din kasi with him.

“Minsan, I’ll do something, and I want to see kung kaya niya at kung gagayahin niya.

“'Tapos gagawin niya, yeah he’s silly at home."

Early on, he has shown signs of being independent.

She relates, “Pahirapan siyang suotan ng diaper, pagulung-gulong, gustong tumayo.

“And there was one time kumuha siya ng diaper 'tapos humiga siyang kusa, 'tapos parang gusto niyang isuot sa sarili.

“Like he gets things so yun yung natutuwa kami.”

LATEST ENDORSEMENT. Iya and Baby Primo's latest endeavor is being the newest faces of Bambini Baby Cologne.

On March 11, 2018, at the Bambini Baby Cologne Family Boot Camp held in Glorietta 3 Activity Center, Makati, the preggy mom expresses her gratitude to the company, which also owns Silka.

She has been endorsing the soap brand "for the longest time until I got married, until I got pregnant."

Iya continues, “Kaya hanggang ngayon, ngayon na may anak na kami 'tapos they still want us to be a part of their family, sobrang nakakatuwa, and wala, e, it just really goes to show how special I guess we are both to each other.

“We really become like a family.

"Of course, I’m not expecting they’d want to use us so nakakatuwa lang that they did.”
