Her twins Cassy and Mavy are coming into their own, and Carmina Villarroel is getting anxious that one day they will set out on their own journeys.

Now that Cassy and Mavy are turning 18, will there be a grand party party for the twins of Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villarroel?

Carmina answered, "Sa ngayon, parang it's too early pa to ano, e, ewan ko.

"Parang iba na rin kasi di ba yung mga teenagers ngayon.

"Parang instead of having a debut or a grand party, they would rather go to other countries.

"Yung ganun so di ko pa alam, depende."

And will she allow Cassy and Mavy to travel on their own if they ask?

Carmina was quick to answer, "Never!"

She thought about it, "I don't know.”

And then she said with finality, “Never!”

But then again, ”Hindi ko pa naiisip.

“Parang ayaw naman nila, it really depends.

“I’ll cross the bridge when I get there."

It isn’t that Carmina does not trust her kids to manage on their own.

She just can’t picture them enjoying a trip without her and Zoren.

She explained, "Pag traveling out of the country, it has to be with family.

“That's our bonding, yun yung one of our… bonding namin talaga

“Gustung-gusto namin mag-travel, yung maglalakad sa kalsada.

“Yun kami, e, that's our family thing, family bonding.

“So parang nakaka-sad, 'Ay, magta-travel kayo with your friends!'"

Eventually, she will allow them to travel on their own. At what age?

"Parang wag muna, wag muna talaga!

"Siguro matagal pa, siguro pag mga 40 na sila.

"Hindi, hindi ko alam. Pero not now, hindi ko kaya."

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke with Carmina at the opening of Longchamp's new boutique in Rustan's Makati last Tuesday, March 13.

Other guests at the event were the country's most stylish women—Heart Evangelista-Escudero; Jasmine Curtis-Smith; Mika Martinez; Tootsy Angara; Mari Jasmine—and fashion bloggers Nicole Andersson, Laureen Uy, and Tricia Gosingtian-Gabunada.
