Lotlot de Leon and Ramon Christopher ended their 13-year marriage in 2004, because "hindi na kami magkasundo," said the actress.
But over time, they have learned to set aside their differences for the sake of their four children—Janine, Jessica, Diego, and Maxine.
On March 27, the ex-couple had a picture together with their youngest daughter Maxine, who graduated from an all-girls school.
Lotlot then talked about her "we are parents first" set-up with Monching.
"It’s never about us...but always about our children. We have gone through way too much pain, arguments, and misunderstandings.
"It wasn’t easy but we both have learned that for the sake of our children, our PRIDE should always be set aside.
"Never namin pinagkait ang mga anak namin sa isa’t isa.
"Pagdating sa mga bata, it was always a mutual decision. We are parents first. Respect.
"That is why sa mga ganitong pagkakataon, nagpapasalamat ako sa Dios na ginabayan niya kame, and I’m thankful that our children are where they’re supposed to be."
Lotlot also thanked her Lebanese boyfriend Fadi Al Soury, and ended her Instagram caption with this: I’m also very grateful to Fadi, the person who God have blessed me to be with for being so loving and supportive. Salamat, Mahal!
"Anak ko, Maxine, we love you anak and again we are very proud of you!"
