Rochelle Pangilinan stays away from strenuous activities to prevent pregnancy complications: "Sabihin na nating puwede ko siyang gawin [mag-work out], pero meron lang konting takot sa akin bilang first baby ko kaya hindi ko siya ginagawa."

Rochelle Pangilinan is glad that her pregnancy has been easy breezy so far.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the Onanay star says she hasn't experienced any difficulty, and hopes that there won't be complications in the coming months.

Rochelle, who is now in her second trimester, relates, "Sabi ng OB ko, compared sa ibang nagbuntis na nahirapan, blessed na blessed ako.

"Kasi hindi ako ganun kahirap magbuntis, and wala akong bleeding, and maayos, maayos yung baby.

For his part, Rochelle's husband Arthur Solinap has been extra patient with the requests of his wife.

He tells PEP.ph, "Para sa akin, ini-enjoy namin yung mga stages na ganun, at pag nagsusungit, siyempre di ba, kailangan intindihin."

NURSERY ROOM

Rochelle and Arthur have started preparing their baby's nursery, but their plan is to let their little one stay in their room until he/she is ready.

Rochelle says, "Tinanong namin yung sarili namin if kaya namin ilagay sa ibang kuwarto yung first baby and parang hindi.

"Siguro paglaki niya, puwede na siyang magkaroon ng sariling room pero, as of now, first baby, mukhang hindi namin yun ihihiwalay."

Rochelle and Arthur talk to PEP.ph about their journey to parenthood at the launch of Happy Skin and Posh Nails' collaboration at One Rockwell, Makati City, on Tuesday, October 23.

CRAVINGS AND MOOD SWINGS

As much as possible, Arthur gives Rochelle whatever she wants to eat even if it would mean preparing and cooking the dish.

He recalls, "May one time na gusto niya ng isang putahe, pero ang gusto niya ako yung magluto.

"Ayaw niya ng take-out, so ginagawa ko and enjoy naman."

Rochelle throws in, "Naghanap ako ng lugaw, sabi niya, 'Sige beh, pa-deliver tayo.'

"'Tapos sabi niya, 'Sige, alam kong lutuin yun!' Balik siya, Pa'no nga ulit lutuin yun?'

"Ayoko ng bili, gusto ko, siya nag-prepare."

Good thing, Arthur is a good cook.

She says, "Magaling siya magluto, sobra.

Aside from her food cravings, Rochelle mentions some of her weird requests, especially when she's having mood swings.

EXTRA CAREFUL

Known for having an actively lifestyle, Rochelle has been staying away from strenuous activities save for her regular walks.

When asked if she'll be taking a break from showbiz after giving birth, Rochelle answers, "Oo naman, kailangan bigyan namin ng time si baby."

Rochelle sees herself taking a three-to-five-month hiatus to focus on their baby, but promises, "Of course, babalik at babalik kami sa showbiz."
