Bianca Gonzalez is quite a super mom for being able to take care of her two daughters—three-year-old Lucia Martine and three-month-old Carmen Eliana—while still pursuing her work as a host.

But the 35-year-old celebrity mom admits she still has a lot to learn about motherhood.

"I can’t say na talagang fully adjusted na kasi ang hirap," Bianca told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) when asked about parenting challenges the second time around in an exclusive interview last Wednesday, January 30.

She continued, "Parang my newborn is only three months old.

"[Carmen Eliana] just turned three months so parang every day is still a balancing act."

Bianca and her husband, PBA player JC Intal, welcomed their youngest child last October 2018.

The Kapamilya host already anticipates more sleepless nights now that she's also taking care of baby Carmen Eliana.

But having to go through it the first time with Lucia has helped prepare her for these challenges.

"The second one is easier in a way, in a sense na parang alam mo na ang ie-expect.

"Nung first kasi talagang nawindang ako, e. Hindi ko alam totoong walang tulog pala talaga.

"Talagang titira yung anak mo sa arms mo, ganun."

PEP.ph had a short chat with Bianca at the Downy Sports All-Star Freshness Challenge at Kerry Sports Manila in Shangri-La at the Fort, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

SUPPORT SYSTEM

Time management is the biggest challenge Bianca and JC have been facing for the past three months.

But having a good set of support system—their other family members and yayas—definitely made their parenting journey a whole lot easier.

Bianca told PEP.ph, "Yung toddler ko, minsan pag kailangan ka, but you’re breastfeeding the other one.

"Parang ang hirap i-balance minsan but ayun, with a very supportive husband and with girls to help us at home, nagiging bearable talaga."

She later added, "Siyempre yung isa breastfeeding, yung isa [Lucia] may sarili nang mga… makulit, or minsan gustong dumikit sa ‘yo for no reason."

The couple knows that juggling parenting and their professional responsibilities is a tough balancing act.

Bianca, however, notes that they are lucky enough since both of their jobs allow them to have enough time for their family.

"We’re very lucky kasi pareho kaming hindi nine-to-five yung job. His work, his training is always in the morning which is when I’m always home.

"And my work is usually afternoon so one of us laging nasa bahay. Sobrang suwerte namin na ganun yung work schedules namin.

"Sobrang imposibleng magawa lahat ng ito nang walang support system."

This is why she salutes working parents who have regular day jobs and are still able to take care of their children.

She told PEP.ph, "I always say na I learned it nung isa lang ang anak ko and now na dalawa, sobrang bilib ako sa mga single moms who work at sobrang bilib ako sa mga walang help sa bahay and they still are able to take care of their kids.

"Kasi hindi siya biro, sobrang hirap."

SIBLING JEALOUSY

PEP.ph also asked Bianca whether she already experienced dealing with sibling jealousy with Lucia and Carmen Eliana.

The Kapamilya mom, however, is grateful that their eldest daughter did not go through that phase.

She said, "Thankfully wala, she did not go through the jealous phase.

"Siguro nakatulong yung before we gave birth, yung mga books about being a big sister, mga ganyan.

"Or ini-involve talaga namin siya like when we change diapers, I ask her to help me, mga ganun."

Bianca, however, observes that Lucia requests for more "lambing" moments from them.

"Ang change na na-notice ko is parang nagpapa-baby siya ulit.

"Siguro kasi she sees na bine-baby yung isa so siya, biglang nagpapakarga na ulit, ini-stroke na yung head ulit, basta random things na parang pa-baby siya ulit."
