Motherhood comes with its fair share of bruises—some emotional, others quite literal.
For Solenn Heussaff, this year’s Mother’s Day came with a surprising gift: a black eye, courtesy of her youngest daughter.

Maelys' gift for mom Solenn
The actress and mom of two revealed the injury on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, showing the purplish bruising around her right eye.
The cause? An accidental head-butt from her one-year-old daughter, Maelys, while they were sleeping.
“To those asking, no biggie,” she assured followers in her post.
“This was a Mother’s Day gift by Maelys. Haha. Accident head butt while sleeping.”
In true Solenn fashion, she met the mishap with humor, even joking, “Next time I’ll sleep with a helmet.”

Solenn's bruise heals up
A few days later, on Friday, May 16, the Encantadia star updated fans with a video showing the bruise beginning to fade.
The deep purple discoloration had softened to tinges of yellow—an encouraging sign of healing.
She also let fans in on how her glam team managed to conceal the injury during a make-up session.
“There we go. That looks better,” she said with a smile, watching the transformation on camera.
Despite the accidental head-butt, Solenn maintained her usual charm and maternal wit.
Maelys "Mili" Lionel and Thylane "Tili" Katana are daughters of Solenn and husband Nico Bolzico.
Their family of four moved into a new home in 2023, building a life full of laughter, little mishaps, and toddler-powered chaos.
