Aiko Melendez and her boyfriend, Zambales Vice Governor Jay Khonghun, flew to Sydney, Australia last week to celebrate their second anniversary on October 28.

The couple left on October 15, and arrived in Sydney just in time to sail off on an ocean cruise.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) caught up with Aiko via Facebook private messaging on Friday morning, just after their five-day cruise.
“We just got here in Sydney and 5 days kami sa sea cruising, wala signal. Kaya now lang ako makaka-reply,” Aiko started off apologetically.
“We left nung October 15, and October 31 uwi po namin.”
We asked her what itineraries they've covered since they arrived in Sydney.
She shared, “Nag-Auckland na cruise kami, actually, so ikut- ikot 'tapos last stop namin ang Sydney and dito kami magse-celebrate ng anniversary sa Sydney.”

LEARNING MORE ABOUT EACH OTHER
Has she discovered anything new about her boyfriend during their travels?
She narrated amusedly, “Nakakatawa kasi si VG. So, halimbawa kahit nag-away kami here, me sense of humor pa din the following day nung away namin.”
Thankfully, most of their disagreements are just petty quarrels and have never escalated into full-blown fights.
Aiko added, “And he is the type kasi na super-lambing, so inamu-amo niya ako all the way.”

TV SERIES
On other matters, PEP.ph also asked Aiko about her reaction when she first heard the news about their GMA-7 serye Prima Donnas beating ABS-CBN's Kadenang Ginto in the ratings game. Aiko has been getting critical acclaim for her kontrabida role as Maria Kendra Fajardo-Claveria.
She proudly said, “Super-happy ako sa ratings ng Prima Donnnas, kasi iyan talaga ang lagi naming ipinagdadasal!
“It pays to pray talaga lalo na kung whole team ninyo ang nagdadasal.”
Aside from Prima Donnas, Aiko will also soon be seen in the musical flick Damaso, which will be shown nationwide starting November 20.
