Inihayag ng Department of Tourism ang magandang balita noong December 4, 2021.
Pinuri ni Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat ang "remarkable work" ng local community sa Bojo, maging ang Bojo Aloguinsan Ecotourism Association (BAETAS) na katuwang ang local government unit ng Aloguinsan.

Sina Tourism Officer-in-Charge-Undersecretary Verna Buensuceso at Philippine Ambassador to Spain Philippe Jones Lhuiller ang tumanggap ng award sa Madrid noong December 2.
PATOK ANG BOJO RIVER ECO-CULTURAL TOUR
Sa pilot initiative ng UNWTO, kinilala ang 44 villages mula sa 32 bansa na namumukod-tangi ang natural and cultural resources, gayundin ang kanilang makabago at napapanahong aksiyon at pagsisikap para sa tourism development.
Ang programa ng UNWTO ay inilunsad para isulong ang papel ng tourism bilang mekanismo sa rural development—na naglalayong pahalagahan at protektahan ang mga rural villages.
Sikat ang Bojo dahil sa ilog nito na may habang 1.4 kilometers, burol, underwater natural resources, mangroves, mga ibon, at wildlife.
Ang Bojo River Eco-Cultural Tour ang pinakasentro ng turismo at pinamamahalaan ng BAETAS.
Nagtataguyod ang BAETAS ng eco-cultural river tour kasama na ang lecture tungkol sa mangrove ecology, wildlife, at mga ibon.
Ang kanilang kinikita ay hinahati para sa kanilang local government, community fund, at barangay fund.
Doon din kinukuha ang pasuweldo at pambayad sa kanilang mga suppliers.
Noong 2016, 2017 at 2018 ay itinuring na Green Destination ang Bojo River Eco-Cultural Tour na kabilang sa Top 100 Global Sustainable Destinations, isang non-profit organization for sustainable destination development and recognition na nakabase sa Netherlands.
