Filipino groups eligible for South Korea visa-fee waive

EXTENDED POLICY. After expiring on December 31, 2025, South Korea is extending its policy of waiving visa processing fees for qualified Filipino groups planning a short stay in the country.

Sa pagkuha ng visa, hindi na kailangang magbayad ng processing fee ang mga Pilipino kung grupo silang pupunta sa South Korea.

Ang tawag sa policy na ito ay C-3-2 short-term group visa waiver, na extended hanggang June 30, 2026, matapos itong mag-expire noong December 31, 2025.

Tinatayang umaabot sa 18,000 South Korean won o PHP740 kada tao ang processing visa fee.

Bawas gastos ito para sa qualified groups of Filipino travelers.

Bukod sa Pilipinas, kasama sa listahan ang China, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, at Cambodia.

Mismong si South Korea Finance Minister Koo Yun-cheol ang nagpahayag ng balita.

Layon ng hakbang na ito na maipagpatuloy ang momentum ng inbound tourism.

Unang ipinatupad ng South Korea ang C-3-2 short-term visa waiver noong 2024.

HOW TO AVAIL OF visa-fee waive

Nilinaw naman ng Korean Visa Application Center sa Manila na ang group visa ay applicable sa mga group trips "arranged and guaranteed by an accredited travel agency."

Ang filing ng visa application ay sa visa center mismo gagawin ng grupo.

Puwede ring ang "authorized travel agency" ang bahala sa submissions.

Kung hindi makakapunta ang lahat, puwedeng may "designated representative from the tour group, such as a tour guide, agency staff member, coworker, or fellow participant."

Ang C-3-2 visa ay valid sa short-term travel at hindi maaaring i-convert sa study o work visa.
