FIRST BLOOM OF CHERRY BLOSSOM TREE AFTER SEVEN YEARS

“After seven years of careful nurturing, one of the sakura trees at Baguio City Country has finally bloomed,” post ng BCC sa Facebook noong January 24, 2026.

“Encouraged by Baguio’s cool climate, similar to the conditions sakura trees need to thrive, its delicate blossoms have quietly emerged, marking a rare and meaningful moment.”

“Sakura trees are known to take years before flowering, making this first bloom a true testament to patience, nature, and time.

"A fleeting yet beautiful reminder that some of the most rewarding sights are worth the wait.”

WHERE THE CHERRY BLOSSOM TREES CAME FROM

“The sakura trees were donated to the Club by Japanese nationals Mr. Shinji Okomora and Mr. Shingeru Tsunashima, together with BCC member Mr. Paz Suzuki, in June 2018 and May 2019,” bahagi sa post.

“Pero ngayong taon na ito, just a few weeks back, napansin namin medyo tumutubo-tubo na na mga flowers, which is a very good sign, probably because of the cold weather that we have.

NOOD KA MUNA!

“Noong una, very challenging siya. Kailangan lang pala talaga is patience at pag-aaruga.

“I think our team has learned how to take care of it. They’ll take it from there.”

Malamig doon at saka meron siyang winter.

“There are more beautiful and lovely flowers in Baguio, not only sakura,” hayag nito.

Katwiran naman ng isa, “It’s not that it’s overhyped (I mean yeah, it is) but it’s mostly because its been 7 years since it bloomed in the Philippines.”

“I was then thinking, will it thrive in Baguio? I even took picture of the young Sakura tree. Wow! Now it has flowers,” sabi pa nito.
