Going out of town this weekend or this coming November 1?
In case you have not picked a destination or planned anything to do, take cue from these stars who had their slice of adventure or enjoyed a piece of paradise not far from Metro Manila.
1. Tanay
Jericho Rosales's "quick getaway" is Munting Gubat in Brgy. Sampaloc in Tanay, Rizal.
It's right across Paseo Rizal Restaurant, which is also an art gallery.
Suggested activities: biking, picnic, bonfire, camping, and taking selfies!
2. Subic
Enchong Dee recently posted of video of him and his Star Music family trying the Superman Ride, one of the zip line adventures at the Tree Top Adventure Nature Park in Subic.
There is an admission fee worth 100 pesos which is consumable for single rides (fee starts at 250 pesos) or package rides (fee starts at 500 pesos).
3. Anilao
That's Drew Arellano doing the Manta Ray Dive Wing at the Sicilian Reef Dive Resort.
Another way to explore the reefs, this 15-minute dive costs 500 pesos plus 50 pesos for every five-minute extension.
Don't worry, it doesn't require any training. If you like snorkeling, you can pull this off, too.
4. Mount Pinatubo
Spotted a month ago was Angel Locsin.
The day-tour package ranges from 2,000 to 4,000 depending on the head count.
It includes round trip shared van transfer service from Sta. Juliana Capas, Tarlac, the meeting place and back; breakfast, lunch, and water; rental of 4 x 4 off-road vehicle; tour guide; mandatory fees: registration, entrance, conservation, Aeta, permit to trek.
Note: Make a tour reservation with any accredited Pinatubo organizer because only 400 people are allowed to trek per day.
5. Baler
This stretch of beach in Aurora is Sam Pinto's "playground."
Aside from the view, its waves are great for surfing.
If you plan to stay overnight, there are inns and hotels offering rooms for as low as 300 pesos.
6. Tambobong White Beach
It's Megan Young's "secret beach" in Pangasinan.
Aside from swimming and sunbathing, you can explore the Colibra and Crocodile Islands plus Simimbahan.
If you plan to stay overnight, you can go camping or rent a cottage or room with rates ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 pesos per night.
Set aside 1,000 pesos for the boat ride, vest, and dock fees
Note: Bring footwear because part of the island tour is caving.
