Miss New Zealand visits family in Pangasinan; Miss Brazil explores Manila

Miss New Zealand's representative Tania Dawson is a half-Pinay.

She had the chance to visit her mother's hometown in Pangasinan before going to Manila.

The 25-year-old music and drama teacher spent a day with her relatives at Urdaneta Garden Resort.

On Instagram, she wrote, "Before arriving in Manila today [January 12], I went and saw my family in Pangasinan."

Raissa Santana, the first black woman to be crowned as Miss BrazilĀ in 30 years, got to explore the streets of Manila on Wednesday, January 11.

One of her selfie backdrops that day was Manila City Hall.

She also enjoyed a dinner at Barbara's Restaurant in Intramuros.

On Instagram, here's how the 21-year-old marketing student summed up her experience.

"About my day today in Manila! What to say about this awesome, happy, lovely people! Just thank you so much, all my love."
