Holy Week is the best time for stars to take a break from their tapings, shootings, pictorials, and other showbiz engagements.

Last year, most of them chose to fly abroad with their loved-ones.

Hong Kong then was their top destination.

This year, a lot chose to enjoy our local beaches; some chose to stay home; others went to Pampanga, Zambales, Batangas, and other provinces near Manila.

Most Kapamilya stars flew to the U.S. for the Star Magic 25 in Las Vegas, Nevada and Santa Clara, California.

They also had a show in Vancouver, Canada last April 9.

Coco Martin, Rayver Cruz, Robi Domingo, and Piolo Pascual were also part of the trip.

Meanwhile, Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza, and JoWaPao—Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros—arrived in Los Angeles International Airport on April 10, for their show in Pasadena Civic Center.

But if we're talking about purely R & R trips, this year's top Holy Week destination of stars is Japan.

Aside from its "clear and cool" weather, the first week of April is when the cherry blossoms bloom in most large cities such as Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.

Among the first to post a travel photo was Luis Manzano, who left the country with Jessy Mendiola last weekend.
