Karel Marquez and Sean Farinas got to experience the "whitest powdery sand" of the Maldives.

The beautiful island of Maldives is the place to be for the long-overdue honeymoon of Karel Marquez and Sean Fariñas.

The two got married last December 1, 2016.

Just before leaving Manila on April 30, 2017, Karel wrote on Instagram, "While our kids stay at my mother-in-law and my mom's house for a week starting tomorrow, my husband and I will take a short break to make way for our honeymoon."

And after their "24-hour travel time," the couple made it to Dusit Thani Maldives.

This awesomel view greeted the couple.

According to the hotel's website, its location—on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll—is "encircled by white sandy beaches, a stunning 360-degree living house reef and a turquoise lagoon," which is "Maldives’ first and only UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve."

Beach lover Karel fell in love with the place.

Here's her husband's drone shot.

This is the view from their Beach Villa with Pool, which charges $735 or PHP36,709 per night, exclusive of taxes.

Their villa has a private plunge pool nestled with an adjacent open-air garden bathroom complete and private terrace.

One of Karel's musings, "No joke, it has been a perfect time here at the beach villa with pool for the past couple of days, and I cannot wait to share how perfect it was just by the whitest powdery sand alone (no joke—and SECLUDED. Baby powder smooth—Huhu) Hindi nagagalaw at nababasura like commercial party beach places) but since we don't go here as often, it is nice to try a different villa like the ocean pool villa, too."

Ocean Villa charges $875 or PHP43,701 per night, exclusive of taxes.

HIGHLIGHTS. The couple went free diving.

Karel wrote, "I'm so thankful to have a partner as adventurous as me, and he pushes me to do more than what I actually can.

"I loved our free diving/snorkeling sesh today. I hope I get to hold my breath for a minute or more next time.

"Here's a photo taken by my husband while I was enjoying and exploring the majestic world down there."

They also got to "walk and bike around the island" on May 1, their fifth wedding monthsary.

Witness the sky turn from golden...

...to pink!

The beautiful sight made Karel cry, "I am so babaw. God is amazing!!! I can't wait to take our kids here huhuhuhu."

Speaking of kids, Karel mentioned their plan of taking them next year to Maldives, which is "definitely our favorite beach getaway so far."

What's a beach getaway without swimsuit shots?

Karel's caption for this:

"Dreams do come true! I am in love with Maldives, so so so in love!"

Sean took his wife's photos.

The couple are scheduled to fly back to Manila today, May 3, 2017.
