Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere have ended their five-day visit to the Philippines.
The two queens, together with some of the Miss Universe 2017 candidates, were in the country for a series of charity projects and tourism events, in cooperation with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and FrontRow Enterprise Philippines.
Last Friday, December 8, the candidates went around Bohol, Batanes, and Camiguin Island as part of DOT's “Bring Home a Friend" program.
Still in town are Miss Canada Lauren Howe, Miss Malaysia Samantha Katie James, and Miss USA Kara Mccullough.
They've extended their stay to explore more of the country's natural wonders.
Rachel Peters brought them to Siargao Island last Sunday afternoon, December 10.
The global beauty queens immediately went frolicking in the white sand beach, getting tanned, and catching the waves.
Rachel even found a new BFF, which they named "Henry."
Rachel also treated her Miss Universe batch mates at her coffee shop called Bake.
In an Instagram post early today, December 11, Samantha thanked Rachel for hosting their stay in Siargao.
She wrote, "Chillin at @bakesiargao #siargaoIsland thanks @rachelpetersx for the amazing time here!!! #bakesiargao #siargao the island is almost untouched, super beautiful and the waves are perfect for surfing."
Kara, who is leaving sooner than the others, told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press last Friday, December 8, she will be coming back.
"It's amazing, I have to come back. I tried to extend my stay but I'm unable to, so I'm gonna come back," the American beauty queen said.
She will be flying back to the U.S. this Wednesday, December 13.
Lauren and Samantha are staying until December 14.
Rachel drove their group around the tourist attractions in the area.
