Kapuso love team Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid went on a three-day "workcation" trip to Coron last December 12.

Early this month, Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid went on a "workcation" trip to Coron, Palawan, and their fans couldn't seem to handle the kilig overload from their Instagram photos.

Gabbi and Ruru, collectively known as GabRu, went to the stunning island last December 12, for an endorsement shoot.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and select members of the press caught up with Gabbi during her 19th birthday celebration with fans last December 20.

Organized by GMA Artist Center, the karaoke party was held at Cave restaurant in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

According to the birthday girl,  they took advantage of such escape, and made time for nature-tripping and sightseeing.

Gabbi narrated, "It's nice to be in a beautiful island with a person you value.

"Talagang we really spent time sa three days na yun.

"And napakaganda ng Coron.

"First time po naming dalawa mag-Coron, and we're just so blessed na nandun kami para sa Coron and para sa trabaho din."

Of course, Gabbi shared some of Coron's majestic views on her Instagram feed.

One of her favorite photos was the drone shot she uploaded last December 13.

She proudly told PEP.ph, "Siyempre Instagram-worthy photo so malamang galing sa 'kin... wala lang, I like taking photos talaga."

But aside from the beauty of Coron, Gabbi also enjoyed the company of Ruru. It's been a while since they last traveled and worked together.

Gabbi said, "After the longest time, siguro yung last pa namin, last year pa so matagal na."

She added, "Nakaka-miss yung mag-usap nang... kasi siyempre, may down time kami dun, pagka-gabi na and all, and nakakapag-usap talaga kami, and we really bonded."

Gabbi admitted that she had a lot of realizations after catching up with Ruru.

One of which was how they grew as individuals when they both focused on their solo projects.

The 19-year-old Kapuso talent noted, "Sabi namin, 'We've seen each other grow for the past year.'

"He had Alyas Robin Hood, I had my [record] single.

"I had endorsements and he had several guestings and all.

"So sabi namin, maybe, we really needed that [separate] time for the both of us."

In a separate interview, Gabbi expressed her gratitude for all the blessings she received this year.

The Kapuso actress promised to give her best on upcoming drama series titled Sherlock Jr., which also stars Ruru.

She said, "Very blessed ako this 2017, and I got to spend time for myself naman and with my family throughout the year so it's time naman to give back and work."

Gabbi also thanked her fans for making time for her birthday celebration and for their unwavering support since she entered showbiz in 2014.

She said, "They made time talaga to spend the day with me and talagang nagpapasalamat ako sa mga sumusuporta sa akin kasi I owe it to them.

"They've been there since day one and hindi nila ako iniwan."
