Riverdale star Cole Sprouse uploads photos of Manila on Instagram on May 1.

On April 19, a video of Riverdale star Cole Sprouse crossing a street in Binondo immediately went viral.

He was in Manila for his launching as an endorser of the lifestyle brand Bench.

The 25-year-old Hollywood actor, whose hobby is photography, brought his camera during his walking tour of Manila, and took amazing shots of the city.

At the Bench press conference held last April 20, Cole narrated going to the seafood markets, where he "glutonized" himself for about an hour.

Here are some of the photos Cole took from his walk around Binondo and Pasay City, which he uploaded on Instagram yesterday, May 1.

PHOTOGRAPHY. During the press conference, Cole talked about his passion for photography.

He said, "It's of those things where you just have to carry a camera around with you all the time, and just shoot every thing all the time. Really make it an extension of your self."

He also gave an encouraging tip to aspiring photographers, "Some people think like there's like a ten thousand hour training period 'til you can call yourself a master in the art, which I think is silly.

"I think it's consistently training your eye and understanding what you do and you don't like."

The star who became known in the defunct Disney program The Suite Life of Zack and Cody added that he took photos using old digital camera when he was just starting.

He revealed, "I started with a very noisy digital camera and it affected the way I approached grain and noise and low light, and every thing on my own photographic process afterwards."

When asked about what his usual subjects are, Cole said he's pretty much open to anything.

He explained, "You're sort of having a moral responsibility of showing the variety of life.

"You have the responsibility to curate existence in your photography... acknowledge that difference exists and people live lives primarily different than your own.

"And the nature of just how many eyes are seeing it, to me at least, means I have to be shooting very many different kinds of people and humans as a sort of public service."

One of the places he loves to visit is Northern California.

He narrated, "Northern California has one of the hottest climates on Earth, one of the tallest mountains on Earth, the oldest trees on Earth...

"It's a huge, huge state and I think, for me, finding these landscapes that I can sort of bury myself in a scared way is something that I find tremendously peaceful.

"The places I find myself returning to are that are formed by serenity or wanting to escape from kind from a kind of modernized world.

"So I found myself returning to these natural chapels, places that are truly serene and tranquil."
