Celebrities travel abroad to celebrate Christmas 2018

Like most of us, celebrities have made it a tradition to celebrate Christmas with their families.

Some, however, choose to fly abroad during their short break from the world of showbiz for a well-deserved rest and recreation.

This year, Japan remains a top holiday destination among celebrities.

Kris Aquino and her sons, Josh and Bimby, flew to Japan on Friday, December 21, which the former said is their "favorite place in the world."

GMA-7 actor Alden Richards seems to have made it a tradition to celebrate Christmas with his family in Japan.

Alden along with his dad, Richard Faulkerson, and his younger sister, Angel, have been exploring the streets of Tokyo since Wednesday, December 19.

The Kapuso actor also enjoyed some snow activities in Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan.

Maxene Magalona and husband Rob Mananquil chose to celebrate their first Christmas as a married couple in Japan.

The Playhouse actress shared their couple photo on Instagram and wrote, "For our first Christmas as husband and wife, we decided to spend it in one of our favorite cities in the world — Tokyo!

Tim Yap and husband Javi Martinez Pardo decided to go to Kyoto after attending Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle's wedding in Palawan last Week.

Based on their Instagram posts, the couple have visited the Monkey Park Iwatayama and Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
