Firing up this year’s 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival is the action-filled Boy Golden: Shoot-to-Kill starring Laguna Governor Jeorge “E.R.” Estregan (screen name: ER Ejercito) and Mega daughter KC Concepcion.
ER revives the role of Arturo Porcuna, a gangster who ruled Tondo in the ‘50s and early ‘60s. Lou Salvador Jr. previously played the same role in Alias Golden Boy, as did Rudy Fernandez in Isang Araw Isang Buhay.
As the female lead character, KC had to undergo training with stunts director Seng Kawee, the same fight director who coached Angelina Jolie in the movie Tomb Raider.
Directed by Chito Roño and produced by ER himself, the film also promises a bit of drama and comedy.
The movie also stars John Estrada, Tonton Gutierrez, Leo Martinez, Gloria Sevilla, and Eddie Garcia.
