Uncut version of 'Tuli' now available

The uncut version of digital film Tuli (Filipino for “circumcision”) is now available in VCD format from Digital Viva. The said film is a recipient of the Best Director Award and Best Digital Film Award in the local category of the 7th Cinemanila International Film Festival last year.

Tuli is helmed by Auraeus Solito—director of the critically acclaimed film Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros. Cast members of Tuli include Desiree Del Valle, Carlo Aquino, Vanna Garcia, Bembol Roco, Luis Alandy, Jess Evardone, Ama Quiambao and Eugene Domingo.

The film is based on a script written by Jimm Flores, grand prize winner of the First Serial Rights (FSR) Screenwriting Contest. The story of Tuli revolves around Daisy (Desiree Del Valle), the daughter of a manunuli in a small town. Carlo Aquino—the love interest of Desiree—is considered an outcast in the village because he is still uncircumcised. Vanna Garcia plays Botchok, a battered teenager who is the best friend of Daisy.

A DVD version of the film is also available nationwide.
