Meryll Soriano has finally reconciled with her mother, Becbec, after the two had a falling out due to the former's marriage to Bernard Palanca last September 8.
The young star had already talked on the phone with her father, Willie Revillame, on the October 14 episode of Wowowee. However, it was only during the birthday celebration of Becbec last November 2 did mother and daughter finally mend their differences. It was a fitting birthday gift for Becbec, who is the sister of actress Maricel Soriano.
Meryll shared her feelings about the event during the November 5 episode of the ABS-CBN talk show The Buzz: "It was very intense, happy feeling. Joyous event. We're both happy that we're talking again. I can see them anytime, any day.
Not one day did I not think about the family. Very assuring that my family will always be there for me."
When asked to give a message to her mother, Meryll said: "I just want you to know that I love you very, very much. Alam kong walang makakatalo dun."
In an interview on GMA-7's showbiz talk show S-Files on the same date, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano also shared her thoughts regarding her niece Meryll: "Ang importante sa akin yung nanay niya [si Becbec].
Maricel said that she already told her message to Meryll during a family dinner.
The veteran actress said that she understood what her niece is going through. "Hindi naman ako ang nanay niya e. Ok lang naman yun. Not so long ago, I was there [also]. It happened to me. Kaya naintindihan ko in a way.
Maricel will soon be releasing her latest movie from Unitel entitled Inang Yaya. She described the movie as: "Parang siya [Inang Yaya] yung tumutulong sa iyo.
She is also starring, with her niece Meryll, in the Cinemanila 2006 entry Numbalikdiwa. She is now working on a trilogy from APT Productions for the project of Gawad Kalinga. Maricel's segment is entitled Umiyak Man ang Langit.
