The competition in Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA), ABS-CBN's reality-based talent search, becomes tougher as seven of the top 10 scholars on the Headmaster's List were named.
PDA Headmaster Jim Paredes gave the class cards of the 11 remaining scholars during the gala night last Saturday, November 11, to determine who among them will be included in the Headmaster's List.
The seven scholars who got the highest grades from the jurors (composed of Cookie Chua, Louie Ocampo and Jimmy Antiporda) after their performances last Saturday are: Panky Trinidad of Cebu, 9.0; Chad Peralta of Australia, 8.27; Rosita Bareng of Dubai, 8.23; Yvan Lambatan of Baguio, 8.13; Yeng Constantino of Rizal, 7.93; Ronnie Liang of Pampanga; and Eman Abataya of Iloilo, 7.5. The seven are already guaranteed spots in the Top 10 and a chance to be included in the Final 6.
By getting the highest grade among all scholars, Panky is the Scholar of the Week. She is also the only scholar, so far, who has not been nominated for probation.
Aside from being in the Top 10, Rosita also avoided automatic expulsion. All previous nominations of the seven top scholars are now erased.
Meanwhile, the four scholars under probation this week are Joan Ilagan of Italy, 7.4; Davey Langit of Baguio, 6.9; Jay-R Siaboc of Cebu, 6.56; and Irish Fullerton of USA, 6.13.
One of them will be expelled on Saturday, November 18, and the three remaining scholars will join the seven others on the Headmaster's List.
