Is Karel Marquez the newest apple of the eye of Jeremy Marquez?
The actress-singer-VJ admitted at the January 26 press con of Pedro Penduko, ABS-CBN's weekly fantasy series, that she and the son of comedian-TV host Joey Marquez are seeing each other.
"We get along. We hang out once in a while. Masaya naman siya, ako din, masaya," said Karel.
It may be recalled that Jeremy broke up with young actress Alessandra de Rossi last year. The reason? Alex was irked by Toni Gonzaga allegedly meddling with her affair with Jeremy. It was the second—and according to Alex, final—split-up of the couple. Their first break-up was because of Jeremy's alleged "secret affair" with young actress Jennylyn Mercado.
Now rumor has it that Karel was one of the reasons why Jeremy and Alex broke up. Karel strongly denies this.
"Hindi naman po! Nagkataon lang po," Karel says earnestly.
She explains, "Since nag-break sila three months ago yata, or four months ago, I'm not sure... yun, nakilala ko siya [Jeremy]. Mabait naman siya. Hindi lang sa akin, ha? Hindi lang sa mga guys, kasi marami siyang mga friends na mga girls. So far, sobrang bait naman."
But asked if they already have a special relationship, Karel giggles, "Hindi...pa!"
Karel will portray a sea nymph in the new episode of Pedro Penduko which begins this February.
