"When you come to, like, enjoy something mahirap bitawan. It goes for everything in life. When you get too comfortable, ako nag-e-enjoy ako dito, it's hard to say goodbye," says Edu Manzano about hosting Game KNB?.

Edu Manzano confesses that he's getting comfortable with his job as a substitute host of Game KNB?. However, he admits that he should not get too comfortable with it because it's just a temporary thing.

"Aaminin ko, I'm enjoying it, e. Nag-e-enjoy ako sa show, nag-e-enjoy ako sa tao, and the staff. And ayokong maging masyadong kumportable because sometimes kapag may isang bagay na mahal na mahal mo, ang hirap bitawan nun basta-basta," said Edu during the press conference of ABS-CBN's Walang Kapalit yesterday, April 11.

"When you come to like, enjoy something, mahirap bitawan. It goes for everything in life. When you get too comfortable—ako nag-e-enjoy ako dito— it's hard to say goodbye," Edu added.

The game show host temporarily replaces the original host of Game KNB?, Kris Aquino, while she is on maternity leave. Kris is due to give birth in May.

Edu, however, did not deny that he had a hard time adapting to the show. In fact, from a serious host of the defunct game show The Weakest Link, he has to change his style because of some negative feedback from audience as well as the staff.

He recalled, "Of course, nagkaroon din ako ng birth pains, e. I believe 'yong first weeks talagang pati 'yong mga cameramen, mga staff, di natutuwa sa akin kasi napaka-highly technical at medyo humahaba 'yong taping. But I'm glad that the management naisipan na, ‘Edu, loosen up, tanggalin ang Amerikana, and then just be yourself.'"

Edu also believe that he couldn't just copy the hosting style of Kris. He explained, "Unang-una, temporary lang ako dito, hindi ko pwedeng gayahin lang si Kris, istilo niya 'yon, e. Sometimes the style appeals to some, sometimes it doesn't appeal to others. Kailangan mo rin baguhin 'yon."

And what would be the reaction of Kris to his style right now, which is lesser serious than that of Kris's style?

"Sinasabi nga niya na, ‘I love your style, I'm having fun watching you. Go on and have a continued fun,'" said Edu.

The actor-host also revealed that he keeps a constant communication with Kris. This could also be one way of reminding himself that this job is just temporary.

He reiterated, "Lagi naman akong nakikipag-contact or nagko-communicate kami ni Kris. And I continue to tell her na, ‘Magpalakas ka na, come back to your show.'"

Edu even said to the entertainment press, "Gusto ko lang talaga i-emphasize temporary lang ako, pansamantala. I have to stop the illusion of grandeur because this is still Kris Aqino's show. Pansamantalang pamalit lang ako."

Now, there have been positive response about his hosting style, the entertainment press could not help but ask if he will be given his own game show when Kris comes back.

The game show host immediately replied, "While there are people saying wonderful things about my hosting style, that has to be translated into numbers kung saan maeengganyo siyempre ang network."

He added, "Ako I'd take it one day at a time. Kung sakaling may lumitaw diyan na isang oportunidad, good for me. Pero like I said, ‘Bisita lang ako diyan.'"
