Jennylyn Mercado on Patrick Garcia: "We're good for each other."

Jennylyn Mercado defends her relationship with Patrick Garcia by saying that the young actor has a more positive effect on her than negative, as observed by some showbiz insiders.

Jennylyn Mercado just let out a laugh when told about Regal Entertainment matriarch Lily Monteverde's remarks to the press calling her a "tiyanak" for allegedly snubbing the press conference of the horror flick Tiyanaks.

Mother Lily was said to be slighted when Jennylyn failed to show up at the press conference because she chose to be with boyfriend Patrick Garcia instead.

"'Yung time na ‘yon, meron akong commitment. Meron akong work nung araw na ‘yon and araw-araw nakaka-receive ako ng schedule. Pero that time, wala akong na-receive na schedule for the press con.

As it turned out, Jennylyn already talked to the beloved producer and explained her side, which according to her has nothing to do with Patrick or any personal reasons.

Despite clearing the issue, Jennylyn still couldn't escape being asked about her reaction on some people's perception that Patrick has a negative effect on her, both personally and in her career.

"Hindi naman. We're good for each other.

Naging patient ako... madami, ang dami talaga," she added.
