Nadia Montenegro on how her 14-year-old daughter survived depression: "She's a walking testimony... na talagang kahit ano pa mangyari, masaktan tayo, bumagsak tayo, may mawala na mahal sa buhay, lahatin niyo na po lahat...

Dito raw nalaman ni Nadia na "she tried to take her life five times."

Patuloy ni Nadia, "So, nung nasa bahay ako, umiiyak ako.

"I said, 'Baby, why did you do that?' Sabi niya, 'I just want to be with Daddy.'

"Sabi ko, 'You know, the only thing you can do is pray to God. Alam mo naman na if we take our life, hindi tayo dun mapupunta sa langit, sa hell tayo.'

She is only grieving, let her be."

"Nag-turnaround yung life niya. She found God.

Diin ni Nadia, "You really have to pray.

"A mother's prayer is amazing talaga, and we have an amazing God.

"I thank God na naging OK talaga lahat."

"Pag nakita na natin ang anak natin, hindi na ma-control, tuluy-tuloy ang depression, meaning to say more than two weeks or two months na continued sadness.

"Naaapektuhan na ang kanyang ugali, pagkain, pagtulog, palaging mainitin ang ulo, or walang nararamdaman, those are the red flags for depression."

Dagdag ni Dr. Ali, "The best is to bring your child to the nearest professional kasi kailangan ma-diagnose right away siya.

"So the best is samahan talaga sila."

PROUD MOM TO AYISHA

Bahagi ng caption ni Nadia: "So proud to be called your mom baby! What a transformation!

"From a daddy’s girl, a depressed & suicidal child and now you are saved and a true believer and follower of our Lord Jesus Christ!

"As a parent, there is nothing else i can ask for. You and your 7 siblings are a reflection of my life’s purpose...to serve.. you 8 are my inspiration and my heroes!"

PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF NADIA'S DAUGHTER

"In that group we would always talk about Jesus, His love and miraculous works. I was changed. I was moved. I opened my heart to the possibility that God would remove my pain and sorrow and replace it with joy and purpose.

"True enough, He gave it to me. I learned that 2,000 years ago He died and rescued me from this situation. He is promising me a life in full. I experienced Him in a retreat and so I surrendered my all to Him — everything.

"I realized that Jesus is the true Hero of my life. Yes, I don’t have an earthly father anymore, but I have a Father in Heaven who will never leave and even love me for who I am."

"Same with you. What are you going through lately? Remember that you have a Father in Heaven who understands you and cares for you. Come to Him and He will give you life."

When I was eleven, I tried to kill myself 5 times — and more. How can I possibly live life when my dad, my hero, my best friend left me and died? Is it too unfair for a kid like me to grow up without a father? He was my everything. I was spoiled by him. He would always pick me up in school, bring me to places I wanted and buy me food no matter the cost is. He was my refuge and happy pill because at school? I was bullied. A laughing stock and always the lady of the hour. I was depressed and devastated for a year. Until my sister introduced me to a life group. In that group we would always talk about Jesus, His love and miraculous works. I was changed. I was moved. I opened my heart to the possibility that God would remove my pain and sorrow and replace it with joy and purpose. True enough, He gave it to me. I learned that 2,000 years ago He died and rescued me from this situation. He is promising me a life in full. I experienced Him in a retreat and so I surrendered my all to Him — everything. I realized that Jesus is the true Hero of my life. Yes, I don’t have an earthly father anymore, but I have a Father in Heaven who will never leave and even love me for who I am. Today I am Fourteen. And I am rescuing my friends and classmates who are committing suicide as well. Now I understand why I have to go through those things. It is for me to understand people and help them get out of that miserable life as well. Same with you. What are you going through lately? Remember that you have a Father in Heaven who understands you and cares for you. Come to Him and He will give you life. - Ayisha Asistio #PUSOconference #pusomovement
