Actress Jean Garcia refused to give details about the supposed incident that happened in Surigao del Norte over the weekend.
In an earlier report by Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), a text message circulated over the weekend that Jean Garcia was held hostage in Surigao del Norte. A reliable source contradicted the news, saying that, instead, Jean was harassed by someone in the province.
According to the Saksi report, Jean spoke to end all talks about the incident in the province.
"Sana pagbigyan n'yo ako. Favor lang po. Tama na po. Kumbaga, tapusin na natin. Wala namang nangyari. Huwag na po nating palakihin ang issue kasi wala naman po talagang issue.
"Kung ano man po ang nangyari doon, ayoko na pong pag-usapan. Huwag na po nating palakihin. Huwag na nating bigyan ng issue kasi wala naman po. Ang sa akin lang is nagpapasalamat lang ako dahil nakauwi kami ng safe with my sister and my friend," she said.
She hopes that this issue doesn't get any bigger. She pleaded that every speculation and rumor is affecting her family.
Jean also thanked her friends for the overwhelming support given to her. She cried and embraced GMA-7 reporter Lhar Santiago over the outpour of support for her.
"Kaya lang ako ganito is because I know na maraming nagmamahal sa akin. Yung realization na maraming nagmamahal at sumusuporta no matter what, di ba?" she said, trying to hold back her tears.
