Former "PBB Teen" housemate Mikee Lee excels in school

Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition ex-housmate Mikee Lee was unlucky in love when he broke up with ex-girlfriend Isabel Blaesi, but the teen actor is doing so well in his academics that he doesn't care to talk about his failed relationship.

Eighteen-year-old Mikee Lee would rather talk about his scholastic achievement than his love life, or what's left of it.

But at the same time, nagkalabuan na rin sila ni Isabel hanggang sa tuluyan silang mag-break.

Sa birthday presscon ng mga January-born Star Magic artists kagabi, January 29, sa ABS-CBN compound, we just had to ask Mikee kung ano ang nauna—ang split nila ni Isabel o ang amicable settlement sa kaso.

"The split-up. Why?" balik tanong sa amin ni Mikee.

We explained to him na kung hindi ba sila nag-break ni Isabel ay ihihinto niya rin ba ang kaso.

"Well, I guess you're right, parang wala na rin naman po kaming pinaglalabanan," pagsang-ayon niya. "I've got to talk with the guy. He must have something din in his mind and heart why he did that, so we settled the case out of court na lang.

Mikee is another brainy teen in the household of the first PBB Teen Edition, the other one being Aldred Gatchalian who graduated valedictorian. Mikee achieved honors in his last year in high school and excitedly looks forward to college.

An honor student, a Math team member, and also a member of the renowned debating team of Ateneo, apat na tests here and abroad ang ipinasa ni Mikee.

Galing, ‘no?" Mikee said proudly.

But Mikee is most proud that he is in the top two percent of all applicants sa Ateneo college exam.

"It's called the Director's List, the top two-percent examiners. Magpapa-dinner pa nga raw sila for all those na nakapasok sa Director's List. Astig!" said the beaming Mikee, indirectly promoting his new ABS-CBN teen show Astigs.
