South Korean star Son Ye Jin graced the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on Friday, July 5, 2024.
This marked her first public appearance since welcoming her and husband Hyun Bin’s first son, Baby Alkong, in 2022.

The film festival spotlighted Ye Jin as the featured actor in its 2024 special exhibition, celebrating her remarkable two-decade career in the Korean entertainment industry.
On Saturday, July 6, 2024, the 42-year-old actress took to Instagram to express her heartfelt gratitude to her devoted fans.
Her message reads (translated in English by Instagram), “Meeting fans and audience for a period of time on my way back.
“My heart burns. The way you guys look at me. I will never forget those eyes full of support and love.
“I am very very happy. It's all because of you guys. [Emoji]”
Ye Jin eagerly anticipates reconnecting with her fans in future projects, leaving them a heartwarming wish.

SON YE JIN ON MARRIAGE AND MOTHERHOOD
During the festival, the popular Korean actress attended a press conference where she candidly discussed the profound impact of marriage and childbirth on her life.
In her words (translated by The Korea Herald), “Marriage and giving birth have given me a whole new world experience.
“Having raised a child over the past two years, the biggest happiness for me was finding value in every day.”
Ye Jin went on to share her personal journey, emphasizing how parenting has transformed her happiness, even in the face of challenges.
She narrated (translated by SBS Star), “Before, work was everything to me, and I struggled to separate my personal life from it.
“Nowadays, even if my child just eats well, it makes me so happy. I find joy in getting through the day and ending it safely.
“My values have also changed a bit. Parenting is tough, but it brings a different kind of happiness.
“I'm living very happily and doing extremely well right now.”

Ye Jin and Hyun Bin first worked together in the Korean film The Negotiation, and their chemistry continued to sizzle in the hit K-drama Crash Landing On You.
After making their relationship public on January 1, 2021, the lovely couple officially tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on March 31, 2022, held at the Aston House in Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul.
Three months later, on June 27, 2022, Ye Jin and Hyun Bin delighted fans once again by confirming their pregnancy news via Instagram.
The couple’s joy reached new heights when they welcomed their firstborn on November 27, 2022.
