Controversial young actor Baron Geisler filed a perjury case against actress Yayo Aguila during the preliminary investigation of his sex case today, July 18. Baron's camp alleged that she lied in the sworn statement she submitted to the Justice department with regard to his acts of lasciviousness case.
According to 24 Oras, Baron's camp argued that Yayo was in America when the incident happened so it would be impossible that she witnessed the allegations thrown at him.
On the other hand, Aguila's legal representative, Atty. Sal Panelo, dismissed the perjury case as ridiculous and said that his client Yayo Aguila was only narrating what her daughter told her. He explained, "'Yong nasa affidavit ni Yayo is based on her personal knowledge. ‘Yong pag-text ni baron, gaya noong pagtawag ng anak niya sa kanya—ebidensya 'yon, hindi hearsay 'yon."
It could be remembered that that in April, Baron was slapped with acts of lasciviousness charges by Patricia Martinez, daughter of celebrity couple Yayo and William Martinez.
Patricia accused Baron of fondling her and of asking her to have sex with him at Fiamma Bar on Jupiter Street in Makati City last April 25, 2008. She also stated that Baron was drunk when it happened. Martinez camp is asking for P5 million in damages from Baron.
In response, Baron filed a countersuit of unjust vexation against the complainant. He added to his affidavit that the charges filed by Patricia have no basis and only intend to malign him.
Baron and Yayo were both former celebrity housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition, which was shown in the last quarter of 2007.
