Beauty and wellness guru Cory Quirino became the second contender to be booted out, after Melanie Marquez, from Celebrity Duets after getting the lowest number of text votes this week.
Cory was joined in the bottom group by fashion designer JC Buendia and soccer player Phil Younghusband. JC was also in the bottom group last week while Phil had the most number of text votes last week.
Aside from JC and Phil, the other contenders who will continue their quest next week are MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando, chef JL Cang, beauty queen Carlene Aguilar, and comedian-politician Joey Marquez. Carlene is now the last woman standing after the back-to-back elimination of Melanie and Cory.
The seven contenders performed with other singers to determine next week's results before Celebrity Duets host Ogie Alcasid (whose co-host and girlfriend Regine Velasquez is currently in North America for her concert tour with Lani Misalucha).
Joey was the first to perform, singing with best buddy Richard Gomez; JL sang a duet with actress Angelika dela Cruz; JC did a number with Ayen Munji-Laurel; Phil performed a Tagalog song with Nyoy Volante; Carlene made beautiful music with Duncan Ramos; BF brought the house down with Janno Gibbs; and Cory sang another dance ditty with Arnell Ignacio.
