PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) just received a report that
actor Gabby Concepcion's father, Mr. Rollie Concepcion, has passed away.
Also according to a news report on Bandila, Gabby's father died at around
8:30 p.m. tonight, September 23, in Lourdes Hospital. He was 71.
The Concepcion patriarch had been sick for a few years now because of an enlarged heart. In an interview, Gabby said that his father cannot be operated anymore because almost all of his arteries are clogged. (Click here to read related article.)
One of the reasons Gabby returned to the Philippines after 13 years of living in the United States was to see his father again. Mr. Concepcion had been known to be the driving force of his son's showbiz career.
Mr. Rollie Concepcion's remains lie at the Montessori Chapel on P. Guevarra St., San Juan City.
