GMA-7's newest fantaserye, Gagambino, maintains its lead among primetime shows, albeit with strong competition from fellow Kapuso shows La Lola and Codename: Asero. In fact, the last three nights (October 21 to 23), showed the three shows battling for the No. 1 position with just .01 percent separating them.
Gagambino narrowly edged out Codename: Asero and La Lola Tuesday night (Oct. 21) with 34.3 percent while the other two posted 34.2 percent and 34.1 percent, respectively.
Dennis Trillo's Gagambino also took the No. 1 spot Wednesday (Oct. 22) with 32.4 percent, but La Lola, starring Rhian Ramos and JC de Vera, was just breathing down its neck with 32.3 percent. Richard Gutierrez's Codename: Asero came in third with 31.8 percent.
Gagambino had a more comfortable lead Thursday (Oct. 23) with 35.1 percent; followed by La Lola with 33.2 percent and Codename: Asero with 31.3 percent.
Survivor Philippines and 24 Oras, meanwhile, had their own little battle for the fourth and fifth positions. But ABS-CBN's I Love Betty La Fea managed to grab the fourth spot last night with 29.4 percent.
Bea Alonzo's teleserye is also the Kapamilya network's consistent top-rater, leading all ABS-CBN shows the last three nights.
Other shows occupying different spots in the Top 10 are Iisa Pa Lamang, My Husband's Woman, TV Patrol World, Dyosa, and Family Feud.
Afternoon soap Una Kang Naging Akin and noontime show Eat Bulaga held the No. 1 position in the daytime race during the last three days, consistently posting primetime-like ratings.
